Fitness Club

The Fitness Club is just getting started! We held an informational meeting on April 19, where we received our 8-week runner's program as well as some inspirational thoughts from Connie. Thanks, Connie! Our first weekly run/walk will be held Saturday, April 26 at 7 am.

Here is the guide to your first week of running:
Monday - Run 1 minute, Walk 2 minutes - Repeat 10Xs
Tuesday - Walk 30 minutes
Wednesday - Run 1 minute, Walk 2 minutes - Repeat 10Xs
Thursday - Walk 30 minues
Friday - Run 1 minute, Walk 2 minutes - Repeat 10Xs
Saturday - Group - Run 1 minutes, Walk 2 minues - Repeat 10 Xs
Sunday - Rest

Connie also suggested we have good shoes, good running bra, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. She says it is also key to eat healthy fruits and veggies, along with healthy proteins. Schedule your workouts, expect bad days, and don't rush your goals. The purpose of this program is to reach 30 minutes of continuous running at the end of 8 weeks.
